This year the beauty industry launched a slew of makeup collaborations with popular beauty influencers and celebrities. Beauty vlogger Shayla Mitchell created her own eye shadow palette and mascaras for Maybelline. Jaclyn Hill worked with Morphe Cosmetics to create her own eye shadow palette. Taraji P. Henson, Nicki Minaj and the late Aaliyah for MAC Cosmetics and of course Rihanna created her own makeup line Fenty Beauty–and recently released a second collection called GALAXY.
Now, E.L.F. Cosmetics announced they are working with beauty vlogger Alissa Ashley who created her own lip gloss for the cosmetic line. Ashley has over 800,000 followers on social media—and her Youtube videos show easy step-by-step tutorials from recreating famous looks to everyday makeup and more. Alissa is a gloss lover who loves for her lips to shine and look pouty. She told POPSUGAR; “I think people like gloss again because it makes your lips look so pouty and adds somewhat of an effortless feel to makeup.”
Alissa’s new gloss has a pinkish-brown shade that will look good on any women’s lips. Alissa used Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty lip gloss as inspiration when creating her gloss. Ashley wanted every women to feel included when choosing the color. She says; “I chose this color because it’s one that anyone could wear.” The price of the Alissa Ashley Lip Gloss is only $6 and will be available on October 24th in E.L.F. stores and online.
