A few months, ago, we caught up with artist, label head, and all around creative. In our conversation, we discuss his current projects, his perspective on life and work, and the way that he is preparing for the world to open back up as the possibilities of the future become brighter and brighter. Check out his instagram here, and look out for more coming soon!

First off, how’ve you been?

I’ve been really blessed lately, been going through some shit though too. Lost my homie Caesar, R.I.P to TrapRunner. Been throwing a bunch of events in Los Angeles, tapping into the underground scene out here. Tapped in with the homie Stone from Children of the Wave and Joel from Half Evil Brand. Just gearing up for the summer, gearing up for the world opening up. I’ve been growing spiritually, handling situations way better, just feeling better about myself and who I am. Trying to elevate my people and not be drained from it, to be an example, and to unlock the blessing of serving my universe in the way that I want to.

What you been working on lately? What’s coming up in the pipeline?

Lately I’ve been working on these events, I’ve got a mini America tour coming up, working on my Detroit is Purple brand, working out the Sadboy Tripp merch. I’ve got a couple artists that I’m developing as well. I’ve got my own album coming out soon, produced by the homie Ooze, already got the videos done. I’ve really unlocked my own freedom as an artist and as a person. I’m blessed to be able to deliver myself exactly how I intend to. Verzo$a the Local Dope Man, formerly known as Kash the Kushman, we got his project and merch coming out this summer too.

Give us some updates on the label and the artists you work with? what’s coming up soon for you and all of these projects? What should we be looking out for?

For Detroit is Purple I do a lot of the behind the scenes shit too, I do some executive producing, networking, videos, etc. I’ve been working with so many new artists, just trying to live in the moment and follow my passion, connecting people with one another.

What are your goals for this year? How about the next 5 years?

Expanding my brand to Europe, buying my first house and my first real car. I want to begin the journey of building generational wealth for my family and my city. I want to continue to grow, and to take it as far as this year will take me. I will go on a world tour. Sadboy Tripp will be the biggest artist in the world. This year is going to be big, life changing. I feel my blessings and I want it all to continue flowing and to bring it all to fruition.

In terms of the next 5 years, I see this as a new renaissance era honestly. We’re going to get the next DaVinci, the next Michelangelo. We’re writing the new bible, this is Genesis. What we do now will define the next 1,000 years. I feel like I’m the one to do it, to bring everything that I desire and everything that I dream into manifestation, to impact the world in such a seismic and phenomenal way that our worlds will expand, beyond this universe and into the next and beyond. I truly believe in the power that I have and that we all have to bring this world into a new era, and I can’t fucking wait to see what we make happen.

Anything else that you’d like to add?

I just gotta say again, r.i.p. to TrapRunner, I love you forever bro. And I also want to say, this is my miracle mile, of my victory lap, of my fucking marathon. I’m upping the score, I’m not even tired, this ain’t even the last race either. There’s no turning back, I’m out here putting up 1,000 shots a night, making 998 only miss a few when I take my mind off of it. Lastly, I want everyone to know that this is a transitional moment, that sometimes things need to be destroyed in order to be rebuilt, and that everything is going to get better from here.
