Kim Kardashian West is planning to expand her brand to eyewear. She announced on her Instagram that she’ll be collaborating with eyewear brand Carolina Lemke. Lemke is a very successful brand out of Israel that’ll be making its U.S. debut with their Kardashian West collection.
CEO of Lemke, Mordi Shabat and Kim have been working for the past few months on what will be called the Kim Kardashian West Collection. She’s also partnering with them to create more eyewear throughout the year with looks she’ll help to create from scratch. Kim says that she found out about Lemke through different connections. Her friend Bar Refaeli, who’s from Israel, also has a partnership with the brand.
Kim felt that the Lemke company should be launched also in the US after meeting with them, eventually a partnership began. Kardashian West also loved how affordable Lemke sunglasses are. She wanted to her collection to be affordable as well. Every pair in her collection is under $100.
Kim shared with Vogue “It’s a little crazy how expensive sunglasses can get. Especially if you lose your sunglasses a lot, or if you tend to break them or scratch them. I felt like the quality was so high-level, and the price point was really reasonable. I really liked how open they were to different design ideas. We have such a range, from big shield glasses to more sporty glasses and 90’s shapes. It was a really fun process for me.”
In a photo exclusively sent by Kardashian West to Vogue magazine, Kim is wearing one of her designs for Lemke. She states; “There are a few pics of me wearing them out there, but people probably haven’t really noticed or what the brand was.”
The Kim Kardashian West Collection with Carolina Lemke will be available on April 3. You can purchase them on carolinalemke.combut you can pre-order them through early pre-sale at the end of March.
