Fashion Week is coming up and LAFW is adding something new to their lineup of events. For the first time in fashion week history around the world Los Angeles will have Vegan Fashion Week. The event is supported by PETA and the non-profit organization Fashion Revolution. The organization helps to give animal free designers the chance to showcase their high-end designs on the runway.
The four-day fashion week will have fashion shows, panels discussing animal rights and social justice. There’s also a two-day fair planned at the California Market Centre. Visitors will have the chance to see a selection of animal-free designed pieces and vegan beauty products.
Vegan Design Week released a statement saying; “Our aim is to bring vegan avant-garde fashion to the city, an angle that has been dismissed until now. We want to empower vegan designers and show that cruelty-free is the new luxury and can be easily included in the high-fashion realm.”
Starting February 1st through the 4th, Vegan Fashion Week will happen in different location around Los Angeles.
