Mark Steele’s It’s Been A Minute album is undoubtedly brilliant in its storytelling, emboldened by impeccable sequencing. Paramount, though, is the sound quality of the project. While all of Steele’s music in years previous had been recorded in the confines of his bedroom studio, the rapper escaped his comfort zone by entrusting gold and platinum-credited mixing engineer Kevin “Black Pearl” McLoskey with the sound of It’s Been A Minute. Today (11/30/2018), the engineering extraordinaire explains the magic behind the album in the final installment of Steele’s It’s Been A Minute Extras.
