Following a number of successful previous drops, PUMA has made its mark as an innovative company in the fashion industry perfectly mixing streetwear and sportswear for everyday looks.
PUMA recently collaborated with Detroit MC Big Sean to create an exclusive collection of everyday essentials. The autumn/winter 2018 collection takes its inspiration from the upcoming fall/winter seasons in the Midwest. This is the second PUMA X Big Sean collaboration after Big Sean debuted his first collection with PUMA celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary in March.
This collection gives everyday essentials new functionality and versatility featuring classic pieces like suede sneakers, track pants and jackets and t-shirts. These pieces appear in earthy, fall tones like orange and grey; the premium materials are contrasted with durable details like rough suede, corduroy, and waxed lace.
From the mean streets of Detroit, Big Sean has built his persona and career on hustle. That is reflected in this collection as it showcases his fine taste and laid-back style. In a statement from PUMA, Big Sean spoke on wanting the collection to be as original and comfortable as possible:
“Over time, I’ve become more sensible in what I wear. I’m more drawn to comfortable pieces when I’m traveling or performing but quality has always been important to me so, the new collection really pulls together the best of both worlds. Just keeping it true to who I am down to what I’d like to wear.”
The PUMA X Big Sean Autumn/Winter Collection is a mixture of items perfect for lounging or traveling, but also suitable for the night out. The apparel gives the collection a more winterized feel with the use of fabrics like corduroy and fleece.
Multiple pieces feature Big Sean’s Don D and PUMA Cat Logos. Court silhouettes such as the Classic Suede and Clyde are layered in rich material uppers with neutral urban colors mixed with vibrant highlights.
The elevated PUMA X Big Sean FW 18 Collection is now available in all PUMA retail stores and puma.com. A second drop of the collection will be released on Oct. 20.
