Miami’s very own, Carlos Gallego, has had the opportunity of shooting some of the most lit events and individuals in the 305. In 2017, he photographed Impact ’17, the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards, III Points, and more. When he’s not directly on the Miami scene, he’s still behind the camera working with some of the city’s most creative individuals. He’s worth booking ahead and making a trip down to Miami to collaborate with.
Finding this ‘Mastermind’ on Instagram was nothing short of a discovery. Since I had not previously heard of the Chicago photographer, the phrase “When I Shoot I Don’t Miss,” located in his biography was surely an introduction. That was supported after exploring his remarkable artistry on both his profile and website. If you’re ever in the area, you’d be lucky to work with Bryant Mastermind.
Philly’s Aaron Ricketts is definitely next up. He has a background of conceptual, fashion, still life, and our favorite at EMCEE, music event photography. His background in shooting events has landed him an incredible year of snapping major artists such as Drake, Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, and more. He was also on the scene to capture the engagement of lovebirds, Offset and Cardi B, which was featured on Jimmy Fallon. Ricketts is for sure someone you want behind the camera in 2018.
The city of New York is flooded with talented photographers, and South Florida native, Nico Kartel, happens to be one of them. The way he takes photos in their natural state and then transforms them is everything. Kartel has taken advantage of the New York scene by shooting ‘The Bodega Series’ to capture the essence of the city. Take a look at his website to book him, you won’t be disappointed.
Originally from Texas, Greg Noire may just be one of the greatest of all time when it comes to festival photography. He is well versed in shooting known figures such as Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Jay-Z, just to name a few. Noire’s black and white photos are definitely one the highlights of his work. Not to mention the fact that his portfolio is filled with industry greats, which is a list he’ll probably be added to soon.
Kai Jones is the owner of his own media company and a success story in the making. He has an eye for catching moments, especially on video and has shot with his share of celebrities as well. Jones’ visuals are definitely marked with his own dope style that you should want to collaborate with before and after his price goes up!
