Actress, singer and model Zendaya Coleman is still showing us why she’s one of her generations style icons—with versatile looks and confidence. Last night InStyle Magazine hosted it’s Third Annual InStyle Awards. The event honors the most stylish celebrities and the stylists who help with their signature looks.
The Style Star winner of the night was Zendaya. Lately on every red carpet or interview Coleman has worn outfits that her fans and fashion critics love. Last night was no different. Zendaya was a big hit again wearing a perfect afro. Looking like a 70’s movie star, she also wore a design by Schiaparelli Couture.
Zendaya continues to work with her good friend and stylist Law Roach. Zendaya says she’s been inspired by 60’s and 70’s style. She said to PeopleStyle; “I think I’m always just very inspired by the fashion of the decades. When you go back in time and kind of explore those silhouettes and kind of find a modern way to do it, everything in fashion just repeats.”
During her speech while accepting her award she inspired people to do what’s best for them involving fashion–she said; “Fashion has given me that vehicle to not care. Literally the only opinion that should matter when you step outside the house or when you wear something and–you put something on when you look in the mirror should be your own.”
