23-year-old Canadian fashion model Winnie Harlow has been on a roll strutting her stuff on runway around the world–during fashion week in London, New York, Milan and now Paris.
This past Saturday, Harlow walked in a show for fashion designer Ellie Saab’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection during Paris Fashion Week. During the show Winnie wore a long emerald green and blue maxi dress. The look was also paired with a blue clutch and heels that matched the bottom of the dress.
Winnie is a former America’s Next Top model contestant who was diagnosed with the skin disorder called Vitiligo. She decided to drop out of school at the age of 17 due to bullying from fellow students. While Winnie was working a steady job she was discovered on Facebook and began working in the industry as a model in music videos and fashion ads.
During the 21st season of America’s Next Top Model she gained a fanbase who loved her unique look. Tyra Banks said she would “Break down barriers of what is considered beautiful.” Winnie is proud to represent for people with Vitiligo and the industry has embraced her for that.
