BET’S Black Girls Rock Awards Was Full OF #BlackGirlMagic

Over the weekend in New Jersey, BET taped it’s popular award show Black Girls Rock–which honors today’s most respected African American stars in music, television, fashion, ect. The red carpet was filled with trend setting looks and natural hair was definitely a popular go-to for the night.

The event was hosted by the queen of Empire Taraji P. Henson–who slayed on the red carpet wearing a sexy blue dress by David Koma. She’s also been getting huge buzz over her hot new natural look that is 100% in right now. Insecure star Issa Rae wearing Leilou by Alex, Issa sported her natural curls. Blackish star Yara Shahidi wore a purple Elie Saab dress–she too is team natural rocking her beautiful thick curls. Congress woman Maxine, or as we say “Auntie Maxine” looked stunning in red off-the-shoulder dress with matching red shoes. Other black beauties on the red carpet were, Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish, hot new R&B star SZA, Anika Noni Rose, Solange Knowles and Bevy Smith to name a few. Also on the rep carpet looking stunning was the founder of Black Girls Rock DJ Beverly Bond as well as BET President Debra Lee.

Men were also in attendance looking stylish and dapper on the carpet–Blackish star Anthony Anderson worn a sleek black suit. Stylist and fashion designer Ty Hunter was wearing ASOS–Ne-Yo, Jussie Smollett, Maxwell and Tyrese were also spotted on the carpet looking sexy and dapper as well.
