Dolce & Gabbana Claps Back At Miley Cyrus Via Instagram

Miley Cyrus took to Instagram to express how proud she was of her younger brother, Braison Cyrus, for his runway debut.

The star congratulated her sibling for walking in the Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2018 show, but she didn’t just limit the post to that one particular subject.

In fact, the singer’s caption may have just cost Braison another gig, and burnt bridges with the Italian designer brand by keeping it a little too real.

“Congrats @braisonccyrus on walking in your 1st runway show…. It’s never been my little brothers dream to be a model as HE is one of the most talented musicians my ears have ever been given the gift of hearing…. BUT it is a Cyrus family trait to try everything once (within reason HA) and to embrace opportunities that encourage you to step out of your comfort zone!” Miley begins.

She then went on to express even more gratitude for her brother, and lot less gratitude for D&G, as she ended the post on a completely different note.

“PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics…. but I do support your company’s effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!”

Of course it is unclear of what Miley is referring to exactly, but some have speculated that she may be referring to claims that the brand is homophobic; or she could even be referring to the fact that D&G provides their Italian designer threads to Melania Trump, according to High Snobiety.

Whether it’s because of any of the alleged reasons that the Can’t Be Tamed singer decided to chime in her two cents, or another reason—D&G had a clapback waiting in her comments, and came back for more in an Instagram repost.

Their first reply read: “for your stupid comment never more work with him,” Gabbana said.

In the repost, Gabbana elaborated even more writing: “We are Italian and we don’t care about politics and mostly neither about the American one! We make dresses and if you think about doing politics with a post it’s simply ignorant. We don’t need your posts or comments so next time please ignore us!! #boycottdolcegabbana.”

Basically D&G wants to let Miley in on a little hint, don’t come for us if we don’t send for you.

Gotta love social media…
